Its a Model RG31 made by RG Industries, which sold guns that were made in Germany during the 60's and 70's and were very cheaply made. However yours seem to have held up pretty good.

Cheap, as in, unsafe? I was hoping to go shoot it, but I may reconsider. One I noticed is the barrel cover(?) has a slight wiggle to it. The barrel itself is tight. Could be a nice BUG or a house gun.

I can't say if it would be safe to shoot or not. I know they aren't worth much, and they're supposed to be made out of zinc, and not quality steel. So if you were to shoot it I'd go w/ a light load round. You can always try shooting it though, as long as it appear not to have any problems, it probably will shoot, may not hold up to +P ammo or heavy loads, or lots of rounds through it. The beauty is its not worth much, even as a collector, so I'd say try shooting it and see what happens. That's just my view. Plenty of cheap guns from back then are still completely safe to shoot.

Drilled and tapped my new super blackhawk for a rail to mount my vortex red dot. Shot very well at the range! Took a moment to grow a set big enough to drill in to my new gun though. Shewwwwww, turned out great!

1turkeyhunter-- You did good! Really like that setup!
I recently put a red dot on my GP. When your eyes start going they really are a blessing.

Thanks...... Your right about the eyes, really helps. And, the original sights that were on there were all black, which made it harder to line up your shot! Needless to say, I am very happy with it....... Also, the vortex red dot come with a screw on 2X magnifier if needed, so win win!
Lets see a pic of your GP if you dont mind..........

Do what works best! I Improved tremendously when i put my Regular Glasses on!! Still need a Prismatic sight mounted for my 22 and our 20Ga...got em both delivered,..just need to take them in with the Guns to get done...Also going to swap out a regular scope (1-4X-30) off my Mini-14 for one of the Burris',...either the 322 or the 536...or the Sun Optics 4X32.....
You might want to try a bright color of your Mrs.' Nail polish!! I put some neon red on one of my front sights...what a world of difference,..until I can buy new sights!!

I'm new to your group but have been admiring the pictures of you revolvers and thought I would share a couple of mine. This is the way we used to shoot "bullseye". They are a S&W Model 14 and 17. They are still fun to shoot and will get the job done if I do my part, ha.
