Reloading .455 Webley ammunition

This is Part one of a Two-part series on reloading cartridges for the British Webley MK VI service revolver.

In this first video I'll show you my .455 Webley load, and my reloading technique.

I'll also baseline the MK VI's performance with Fiocchi factory ammunition and compare it to the performance of my hand loaded ammunition.

In part two I'll share loads for .45 ACP/Autorim in the Webley

I'm open for discussion.

Thx, A very interesting report on loading the Webley revolver. Were these loaded with powder or cordite by the Brits?

They were loaded with black powder originally in the slightly longer cased MKi version of .455 Webley. Then with smokeless powder in the shorter >455 MK II case.

Are you familiar with the .45 Enfield? This was chambered in S&W revlovers made for the Brits. It was basically the M-1878 Colt round used by the U.S. Military in the SAA. It of course also fired the .45 Schofield. Looking forward to your next installment. It is sinful how much these Webley revolvers have increased in price. Back in the day Hy Hunter had these for $22 bucks.:(
