Price for S&W 686 plus

All,

Trying to get some opinions on a good price for a 4 in 686. I have found one with an asking price of $760.00. Seller states he is only owner and has never fired the gun. Basically a new gun.
Any opinions would be most helpful.

Mebbe it's just me, but I think that he's asking you to bend over.

Sounds a tad high. Just bought on last year, paid $690. Same gun, 686+ 4". $760 not the end of the world if you really want the gun.

Last week I bougth the S&W Model 686-6" for $770. It was really for $850 but he gave me the offer for $770 because I was paying in cash for it. But you need to consider that I live in Puerto Rico and basically every weapon is imported from USA.

If you take a look on gunbroker that looks like a bit less than the going rate for a 686+ if it is in fact new in box.

Prices are high right now but that isn't really that crazy, the best price I found for a new 6" was $800. I ended up going with a Ruger GP100 5" for $650. If you want the Smith I'd go for it.
