New Taurus 28ga "Raging Judge"
|
I really can't see a point this one. Sure it might be fun to mess around with your buddies and see if you can bust a few clays with it but that's it. Have you seen the price of 28ga ammo lately?!?! Better yet, have you even seen 28ga ammo lately? I really don't see this one taking off.

You're probably right. I don't think it'll really take off either, but it's a cool idea.
I can't even remember the last time I saw a box of 28ga. However the .45/.410 Judge seems to be gaining popularity, I'm even seeing ".410 handgun" shells at Walmart now. |

I'd buy a 20 or 16 in a heartbeat

I think it would be fun to play with a side by side pistol in 20 or 16...wouldn't be good for much more then snakes but fun. |
yea...I was thinking about that cylinder issue...but worst case scenario, only a 2 or 3 round cylinder...and a large frame...who knows...maybe someone gets inventive and designs a new way to work it out

Taurus 28 gauge revolver a wholly underapreciated tool
I choose the word "tool" carefully, for honestly that it what a weapon is. It is a device designed to more easily facilitate a given necessity. In this case the protection of ones self from any given number of scenarios. I believe that Taurus latest incarnation to be an excellent asset specifically in the realm of home defense. Long have I sought an item that combined multiple rounds, massive close range stopping power, solid scatter, suppressed over penetration, single hand use (if physical strength allows for it), short stature for better architectural navigation, and excellent report for sheer intimidation. I have argued these points to other avid shooters at my local range some I have been able to convert while others have maintain their personal preferences.
I presume time will tell... |
Don't get me wrong, Taurus builds a super fine revolver for hunting, plinking, and self-defense... but a 28 ga "hand Cannon" we don't need. Their "Raging Judge" is big enough being chambered for .410, .45LC, & .454 Casull, dontcha think??
