Sweet! Is it a .357 or a .44 or a .45?

New Ruger Vaquero
Very nice.
Picked mine up a while back. Also 45.
5.5 barrel.
Love it.
But the price of ammo.
Haven't bought any ammo. in years.
Sticker shock.

I like Blackhawk's a bunch, but my .44 Vaquero was my favorite. Although I really liked shooting my BH in .30 carbine. Lots of smoke and flame.

Tell me about it. Thinking I need to pick up reloading supplies just to keep my .45 and .357 store up without having to lose an arm or a leg.

great looking firearm.
I bought a matching set of the CFDA Vaqueros last year.
Never a problem.
The Vacquero is the reason I started reloading, they were just so fun to shoot.
Also..........I have this set of inserts that go in the cylinder that convert the caliber to .22......now I can shoot em all day for the price of one box.

Not to answer for the OP, but it takes a damn good shot to hunt with a handgun alone, especially one with fixed sights. . . ? ?
