New Ruger Vaquero
Well, the New Vaquero .45 finally came in yesterday. Its BIG :) Gave it a thorough cleaning last night.

Picked mine up a while back. Also 45. 5.5 barrel. Love it. :) But the price of ammo. :eek: Haven't bought any ammo. in years. Sticker shock. :eek: |

I like Blackhawk's a bunch, but my .44 Vaquero was my favorite. Although I really liked shooting my BH in .30 carbine. Lots of smoke and flame.

I bought a matching set of the CFDA Vaqueros last year. Never a problem. The Vacquero is the reason I started reloading, they were just so fun to shoot. Also..........I have this set of inserts that go in the cylinder that convert the caliber to .22......now I can shoot em all day for the price of one box. Not to answer for the OP, but it takes a damn good shot to hunt with a handgun alone, especially one with fixed sights. . . ?:confused:?
