Jumped on the Ruger site today and saw this. Already kinda want one... Ruger® SP101® Double-Action Revolver Models

I really like the look of them, but they're a bit spendy for a 22.

Yeah 22mag would be really nice. I'll probably wait a while if I do decide to get one. Lord knows I've bought enough handguns in the last few months... Or have I?

You should look at the S&W Model 617 if you're gonna spend that much.

I'm a huge fan of my S&W 17 (if you're going to get one, get the original). But it's still probably going to be at least $150 more than the Ruger. I'm going to be very interested to see what the Ruger has to offer.

Street price on the .357 is more like $495. Hopefully, the .22lr will eventually come down to that or less. I got to play with an SP101 .357 at the range a few months back and really enjoyed it.

I have the SP-101 in .357 and love it but if I was looking for a .22 I would go with the S&W 617 just for the style points. The SP-101 is a lets get down to business looking gun where the S&W 617 is a beauty queen.
