Stopped by my local hangout today after work (yeah, Saturday) and looked over some of the S&W revolvers they picked up from the local PD. They really had some nice snubbies and I picked up this Model 37 Airweight at a great price. The hammer bob was professionally done and it's very clean. Very hard to go wrong to pick up a clean pre-lock S&W for $265...

Nice. It's a great size and weight and a .38 will still do the job.

I have an older flat latch model and it's in my waistband as I type this. ;)

The owner of the shop (a very nice young man) offered me a NIB Ruger LCR for $389 and I was sorely tempted. The trigger on the LCR is very, very nice but I'm kind of an old fashioned guy and the little S&W just felt better to me overall.

I got it home, popped the sideplate and did a little polishing, and the trigger pull is now very close to the LCR. I'll bring it to the pin shoot Monday to run a few rounds thru it before the match - but I'm happy...

Call me old fashioned, but there is just something special about a pre lock model Smith. Ya' done good.

Great price, Nice find!! One of my favorites for a CCW, wish I'd found it first!! :(

You can't beat a good S&W!

The pocket holster, a Desantis Superfly, arrived for this one last Friday. It needs bigger pockets than my NAA Guardian but it carries just fine...
