Try the Buffalo Bore hard cast 150gr wadcutters. Excellent defensive ammo for older .38s that require standard pressure ammo.

Hornady makes a standard pressure load using their 158 grain XTP hollow point at an advertised velocity of 800 fps. It should work just fine.
This is what I keep in an old Colt Police Positive Special that I have.
