Thanks guys!

He decided on the following:

S&W 686 4" .357 w/ target trigger and crimson trace
Walther PPS 9mm
Springfield XDM bi-tone 4.5 9mm w/ crimson trace (rail mounted)

Still deciding on Sig P220 (.45) or a 1911 (.45)

Also ordered a GunVault GVB2000 (Biometric). The entire family will be going through a personalized training as well (he hired the instructor for just the family).

5 Star Firearms just North of Chicago. Great bunch of guys, during that recent heavy snowstorm they got to the shop, packed my order and shipped it when everyone else was stuck shoveling! I highly recommend them.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Dan Wesson Mod.15 fixed bbl was my wifes first pistol. Whining about weight got unbearable and got a S&W 36 Kept the DW though. Like c3 said good trigger very accurate (even with me shooting), I might disagree with c3 on the anvil thing I don't think the anvil stands a chance against the DW
