Nagant ammo?

Im having a tuff time finding Nagant 38r ammo. I heard and read .32 sw long works just fine... Just needs more cleaning after a few boxes. Has anyone successfully fired .32 sw through a nagant revolver?

I have not, but I understand there is a company which makes replacement Nagant cylinders chambered in 32S&W which are supposed to be fairly easy to swap in. MidwayUSA carries them. No first-hand experience though

it does work but cleaning is a real must as it will lead up the front of the cylinder and shooting more than 30 at a time without deleading the parts will make it nearly impossibly to get the cylinder off.

you can alleviate that by hunting for or reloading 32sw long with jacketed bullets.

My 7.62 nagant will shoot 32 S&W longs,32 H&R mags & (32-20 brass resized using 7.62x38mmr dies, not real cost effective),7.62x38r...I have a 32acp cylinder for the nagant, but i have not tried it. Always wear eye protection when shooting any ammo out of this revolver;)

If you can shoot this revolver good, you can shoot anything, better:D

Cabelas has the ammo in the stores. The price is not bad around $22 bucks for 50 rds. :)

Well, for the guys that enjoy reloading and shooting their 1895 Nagant , 7.62X38r pistols where there is a will there is a way...I reload my fired Privi brass with RCBS .30 Carbine dies and .32 85 gr. Hornady JHP bullets resized to .309...I just got my Lee Nagant dies and some .32-20 Starline brass, waiting for some .32 of the same type to come in and reload those. Should they not fit the Nagant cylinders , a pass back through the sizing die should do, I had to do that with the Privi Nagant brass using .312 not resized
.32s..... .309 sized bullets are too small for 32-20 cases seems like.
