Default Shoot it!

I have an old J frame with a 3 inch barrel and square butt in about the same condition from 1953. If the bore and chambers are good and the timing and lockup are fine....just shoot it! Don't waste your time with refinishing. Keep it 'vintage' looking and have fun with it!

Hope that's a good blast and not a kaboom blast! Kidding, that thing should hold up to all but the really hot modern ammo. Don't know if I would try any + p but it would still probably handle it, just a bit iffy though, and it's better safe than sorry.
