Default Mfg Date for S&W .22 revolver.

I have been told this is a pre K. Can't seem to pin down the date of manufacture from the information in Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson (authors Supica & Nahas). Any help would be appreciated. 4 digit s/n preceded by "K".

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

But the serial number on this one is K 99XX, just four digits. Must be way before 1950 isn't it?

Thanks again, this seems more like it. 150 miles NE of Slkoppy Joe's Bar . . . That would put you in Pompano, FL wouldn't it. I am 350 miles North - makes it a long trip to visit, but worth it if you have never been there.
