Default Looking for .44 mag

Any suggestions looking for inexpensive .44 mag if there is such a thing although the taurus tracker with the red grips is a beaut.

Taurus would probably be your cheapest quality option. Charter Arms makes .44s cheaper but I have been reading bad things. I have a Taurus M44 that I love. Ruger and S&W are considerably more money.

i traded for my Taurus Tracker 44 about two years ago. have been well pleased with it so far. works quite well with both the 44 Spl. and 44 Mag loads i worked up for with plenty of power and accuracy.

one suggestion, ditch the factory grips. they don't work well and will cause the trigger guard to bite your knuckle on the second finger, badly. i put the Hogue Monogrips on mine and the difference is night and day. i ccan hancle the recoil of even hot magnum loads one handed with no problems. the grips make all the difference.

the Tracker 44 is a five shot revolver and the M44 is a six shot revolver. the Tracker 44 with a 4" barrel weighs in at 34 ozs. and the M44 weighs in at 45 ozs.

Mine is an 8 3/8" barrel. It is the medium frame 6 shot. The Raging Bull is the large frame. I have a Bushnell Elite 2-6x scope on it. Really nice to shoot with my reloads. Here's a stock photo of what mine looks like.

Ahhh I love that tracker! Jealous 😔 but I put the same grips on the 605 I had in .38 wow what a difference feels like a different gun doesn't it? Is the recoil on that tracker pretty rough? I love recoil call me crazy

with the hogue Monogrips and the ported barrel, it actually shoots very nicely. it does have some recoil, but even with hot magnum loads i can still shoot mine one-handed and still hit decently with it. i shoot more 44 Spl. loads than magnums in mine, about 2 to 1 on average. i practice with both, but for general plinking and just for fun, i shoot a lot of 44 Spl. my 44 Spl. loads are not a slouch either!

The 444 Raging Bull is popular in Germany. Check this out.
