Fun novility item and that's about it. I had 2 of them, a 2-1/2 and a 3 inch chamber, and they both jamed up the wheel shooting 230gram jhp. They are to bulky and heavy for a carry gun and it is a Taurus. If you just want a snake gun, buy a shotgun and you won't need ear plugs unless you have a LOT of snakes.

I like them, my dad had one in 3" never had any real problems with it, it's kind of big and a little bulky but I didn't have any problem with that personally. I generally like tighter groups with lighter shot, the best groups that I ever gotten out one with .410 was with self defense rounds.
Personally I like the circuit judge better then the pistol, but as my grampa would say "different strokes for different folks". It's really all about the person worse comes to worse you can always buy one and shoot it a little bit and if you don't like it you can always return it.
Good luck man

This video says it all. It shoots three different types of ammo.

A friend that owns a gun store has one, it is a beast to shoot so not a range gun. They have their use in self defense, as his gun store has a day care across the street and not wanting to chance shoot little children he decided to go with the Judge. This guy has every gun in the store to choose from for a carry gun and picked this one for "in the store carry" so they do have a place in self defense. They are great to carry on the farm for snakes, or for some with bird shot to get someone off of you. Just not my cup of tea so to speak, but a great idea for a new pistol line.

I have one but use it strictly as a snake gun. I'd never trust it for self defense. That's just my opinion. I know they claim it's alright for that but.......I got a good 45 auto for that.
