I got her a glock 17 a few months ago. Then i got her a sig mosquito (the pink one) for christmas. So she has a couple options when we go to the range it just took me a little longer to get her to shoot the .357's.

A 1911 is an essential part of any collection, keep looking there are good deals out there.

Adhustable rearsight, good front sight. My 50 year old eyes can shoot with these sights.

I emailed my local shop and they said they do have springfield 1911's i was just looking in the wrong spot. You would think that if the case has all 1911's all of them that they carry would be in there. But i guess not.

I own 2 Colts and 2 HK 45's. I believe it is worth noting that the Army's shooting team uses STI. With S&H costing as much as $65 each way, its often worthwhile to buy it exactly the way you want it.

I've invested in a custom fitted bushing and one piece guide rod. Improved accuracy but now I need bushing wrench & a tremendous amt of energy to take apart. Plug comes out at Mach III and if your not prepared for it, you'll never find it. ( I keep a spare JIC )
