Italian Black Powder

revolvers: convertible to .45LC; anyone have hands on experience with them?

Many thanks,

If you're going to do it, I would start with a '58 Remington rather than an open top Colt design for strength. Guy at the range had one and it seemed to be working okay.

With bp pressures the open top isn't any weaker than the Remington. The large arbor Colt's use makes up the difference for the top strap.

Pieata Stainless

An 1858 New Army Stainless followed me home from Bass Pro the other day and I love it. It is a strong enough frame to use the conversion cylinder but for that much money you would be much better off with any for the great 1873 SAA clones and load the cartridges with black powder.

Good luck and have fun.
