Default interarms 357 sa dragoon

I'm looking at an interarms 357 sa revolver in very good condition. It has a 5 inch barrel--stainless frame(not case color) tight lockup with recessed cylinders--nice set of sanbar stag grips. This has a price of $300 out the door. Best price that I could negotiate. On the grip butt it is engraved with Don't tread on me. I'm not familiar with these guns as far as quality. The stainless steel frame has me puzzled as it is not case colored. I figure the sambar stag grips are worth at least $150. would this be worth considering? I've dealt with this shop for a long time and trust them. What do you folks think about this deal? Best regards

If the grips are real sambar stag, and depending on the shape they are in, the grips could well be worth the asking price!

I removed the grips at the shop and the grips are marked sambar stag India. there is also a set of pachmayer and the original wood grips. The geips are in excellent cond. One thing I noticed was how heavy the gun is. Were these built on 44 frames. this is the heaviest 357 that I have ever handled--heavier than my rugers.

Here's one like the one you're looking at. It's sold, but was listed at $495. However, I have no idea if it actually sold for that.

The Interarms Dragoons seem to bring around five hundred bucks which makes your deal sound pretty darn good.

My first .357 was this same thing with a 6" barrel in blue. They are great guns and stand up to a lot of abuse.

The "Don't tread on me" engraving is, unfortunately, standard on these as they are known as the "Virginian Dragoon", either made or imported by Interarms in Alexandria, VA.

The deal you have on that is a very sweet deal. I wouldn't think twice about it. You might go back to get it only to find somebody else snatched it out from under ya.

I'd still have mine if I hadn't caught some crazy notion that I had to have a double action. Oh well, I ended up with a Dan Wesson so it wasn't too bad of a swap.

If I was to get another single action, the first one I'd look at would be the one being discussed. I almost had one in .44mag but didn't have the $400 at the time being asked for it.

My buddy Patrick had a Virginia Dragoon in .44 Mag. It was a nice piece, I'd buy one for $300 in a minute.

I picked up the Dragoon this morning after the shop owner called me as he had another fellow interested and waiting in his shop. He promised me first shot as I was the one who pointed out the grips as sambar stag--I have a set on my vaquaro bisley. Any way I gave $300. It comes with the original wood and a set of Pachmayers. I'll try to post pics. Ser.#is a05573. Any idea as to the age? Thanks for all of your replies. Best regards

That's a nice looking six shooter.
