Well I knew that I wanted one of the two Ruger revolvers SP101 or GP 100. Well I have decided to go with the SP101. However, can not decide on the model. I really like the 5758 but I think I will have to settle for the 5720. I may even have to settle for the GP100 for the SP101 hasn't been out that long so a used gun may not be possible. As I just stated I plan to purchase a used gun. The prices of the SP101 new are a bit out of my budget at the moment and from what I have read a used gun may be a better bargain if found. Wish me luck... |

Good luck, flav
Hopefully some of the Ruger revolver members will chime in with some advice.
Rugers are great firearms, I just don't own any. |

Split the difference; go to a gun show or Gunbroker and get a Service or Speed Six

You will not have problems out of either one. I have an SP101 and it is reliable as a rock. Why would you have to settle for the GP100? They cost about the same.... __________________ If the pain is lacking so is the discipline...

The SP101 is a lovely revolver, ever since I tried one with a 3" barrel I've been hunting for one (not easy to find in Argentina). It was just perfect.  __________________ Now hatred is by far the longest pleasure;
