Presuming you are referring to rubber; It depends on the size of your hand. The Hogue mono-grip has an open back strap allowing the shortest reach to the trigger possible in a given frame size. The Pachmayer gives you the option of an open back strap in the "Professional" series or the closed/covered back strap of the standard and "Gripper" models. I have all three kinds and prefer the Grippers for hard recoiling magnums like my 44's and the Professional s or Hogues for the non-recoiling models like the .357 Magnum Model 28

Yes rubber i meant.yea its for a Dan Wesson 15-2 .357 and i dont have the longest fingers in the world .... I had hogue grips on a 10-7 .38 and liked them but was wondering if pachmyrs had any advatage to them and just anyone whos used them if they like them.

I couldn't tell from the picture but the pachmyr looks like it had a wide bottom to the grip , looks like a round taper like my stock grips am i correct because id like a nice low profile but still solid grip for CC

I really like the Hogue Monogrip and have used it on many different makes of revolvers. Whether the backstrap is open or covered depends on the partricular revolver's grip frame. I really prefer the Hogues to the Pachmyers everytime.

I like the Hogue Monogrip on my SP-101 over the Pachmyrs, I tried both and the Pachmyrs were a little thicker but the Hogue just felt better for me.

I am using Hogue. They seem to fit better in my hand. The Pachmyrs are good too though so whichever fits your hand best is the one for you.

Factory walnut grips look nice but if you are going to use it you need to get them off.

I have hogue softer rubber mono grips on all the of my dan wessons. I do not like the much harder nylon grip they sell. They are on a pair of 15-2 and a 44 mag.

i have used both in the past on different pistols. had good luck with both brands. right now, i'm using the hogue monogrips on my taurus tracker 44, and i really like them. they cut the recoil and are night and day difference to the stock "ribber" grips that came on the pistol. the reason i went with the hogue grips, i ended up ordering three different sets of grips, two of them hogue's and one set of pachmyr grips. the one pair of hogue's were the only ones that fit my pistol and really were the ones i liked the best. really, IMO, it comes down to personal preference and what fits your hand the best. a well fitting handgun is much easier to shoot and shoot accurately.

There are plenty of options available, but Hogue Monogrip has worked best for my Magnums, .357 .44 and .500 respectively.
