Double action I'd go for a Ruger GP100, single action I'd go with a Ruger Blackhawk, I have a GP 100 6" stainless, I like it very much. The Super Blackhawks and Super Red hawks take a scope but you have to go up to a larger caliber.

Thanks all for the info. The single actions aren't what I'm looking for, the Ruger GP100 just isn't my cup of tea. But the S&W 686 moved to the top of the list, and I'd never heard of it before, again thanks all for the advice.

A number of good choices have been mentioned. I would like to include the S&W Model 27-2 and 28-2 to the list. Mine have 6” barrels and are probably the most accurate .357s I have.

If the pockets are deep enough, then go with a Korth.
