Default Help need info on this pistol.

I met someone trying to sell this gun and I'm not sure what it is or if I should buy it. It is a revolver that takes black powder. It was made in Italy and I'm not sure what year. It also has asm on the side. She wants 100$ for it and could use some more information on it. Thanks

Check it over well. Make sure it cycles properly and that it has been cleaned well.
People have a tendency to shoot bp guns and put them away. They then rust to the point of uselessness. If all is good with it the price isn't bad. If it needs work it likely isn't worth the trouble.

I have that exact same model. My wife bought it for me for Christmas a few years ago. It sells at Cabelas.com for $179 on sale. The price has gone up. I have seen it as low as $139 on that site. Mine was $179 with the shooting kit included. Hope this helps you with your decision.

Also check the nipples. You can not dry fire a BP gun like a modern firearm. It will ruin the nipples.

The trigger guard and backstrap are woth $100! They can be made to fit a number of single action clones, as well as the grips. Would be a good parts gun or made into (if needed) a pleasant blackpowder revolver.
