Hello all,
This is my first post on the forum. I have several handguns and long guns, and have been shooting for 30+ years. I've come across a S&W 38 Special CTG. I know absolutely nothing about it. I'm hoping someone could educate me on the general date of manufacture, value, and any other information on it that you might have.

It is a 5-shot .38. The serial number is BND0343, it has the letter F on the cylinder, and is in good condition. I've recently fired it and didn't bother to clean it yet, so the pictures don't show it shiny and clean (sorry).

Any info is appreciated!

In your second image (the area normally covered by the crane when the cylinder is closed) the model number should be able to be seen.

It looks like some J-Frame.

Ok, I found the model. 60-4. Now if I can find out when it was made.
