Hello everyone, new here.... Colt single action army

Can anyone tell me what I could expect to pay for a Colt single action army?

Welcome to the forum!

Answer: Anywhere from $200 or so for a used Italian clone to
$862,500. (sn 1, auctioned in 2010). You might want to narrow
the scope of you question just a smidge.:)

Colt has made the model P (Single Action Army) from 1873 to 2012 (with
a break or 2). There have been many models, series and calibers within
that 139 years. Since you want a genuine Colt, but have not specified
series, caliber or condition, you have narrowed the price range to $500 or so for a beater to $862,500.

Current Colt retail MSRP price list here, scroll down a bit, it's a .pdf.

Thank you sir , yes I I'm in market for a new one 5.5 in barrel blued .45 colt . I wasn't expecting them to be that amount ha ha

Why do you want it? For collector's investment? Or for a shooter?

Used SAAs are very hard to find, them that's got 'em, keep 'em. New expect to pay $1200 or so.

Next best bet, Ruger blackhawk or Super Blackhawk. If it must be correct Colt Style, then an Italian clone.

You might want to look at a Cattleman 1873 HOMBRE. It is a clone but a lot of people shoot them in Cowboy Action Shooting. I just purchased one 2 weeks ago and so far I love it! My other SA revolvers are 5.5 to 6 inch barrels so I got the Cattleman in 4.5 inch. Just filed down the front site a bit and now it shoots very accurate. Comes in .45 LC or .357 Mag.

Thank you they look good, what could I expect to pay for one? Also have you herd any good things on the American Heritage Co. I believe Taurus bought the company

Paid $399.00 new for mine. Have not seen any used, but I'm sure they are out there. Sorry, not familiar with the American Heritage Company. Look on this forum for remarks about Taurus, most not too good. Do not own any so can not really give an opinion.

If you want a shooter the New Ruger Flat Top with the .357 frame in .45 Combo is great. It has the old XR-3 grip frame and the warning in on the bottom of the barrel. These new Rugers have a very close .451 chamber throat. Ruger uses a new chambering process that improves these six guns. All Rugers with the new chambers have the warning on the bottom of barrel.:)
