Default H&r Young America double action

it doesn't have a caliber marking. And the serial number is 9399. My grandfather traded for it when he was a kid. He replaced the cylinder pin.with a home made one. lit has no way to eject the shells. But has a grove on the right side. I was wondering if anyone knew any thing about it and what it might be worth.

These were inexpensive revolvers usually found in .22 rf, and .32 S&W.

You ejected fired casings by pulling the cylinder pin and cylinder, and poking the empties out with the pin.

They are listed in the 1902 Sears catalog for a few dollars- about $3.95. Missing parts and grips, yours is about $10 or so as a parts donor. Out of production by 1942.
What we have here is... failure- to communicate.
