Default H&r 949

If you're not familiar, this is a .22 LR Double Action revolver but loads through a gate like a classic single-action. Holds 9 shots and it is an awesome if awkward looking revolver. My father-in-law owns one and I've seriously thought of talking him out of it as he doesn't really shoot it.

Only problem is he lives in a different state, so I'd need an FFL correct?

I was told Winchester bought H&R but I don't see the 949 for sale. Is it out of production?
