Default GP100 rear sight

Noticed at the range today that the pin holding the front of the rear sight into the dovetail is loose. This is the pin the sight moves on for elevation adjustment. The pin can be easily removed. Is this normal? If not (I can't imagine there is any need to remove this pin for any reason) can I put a drop of Lock Tight to hold it in place?

I had the same problem with my ruger last week. I just pushed it back in and keep shooting. But i ran probably 400 roundabout before it starting coming out. If i find something out i will defenitly let you know. Im gonna ask my local gun shop and see what they say..

Same thing happened on my Ruger MK3 pistol,I DID put loctite blue on it thinking it wouldn't work because there's no threads to have the loctite to dry onto, but it DID work, and has been in place for months with no movement.

Mine was fine till I started shooting 357 magnum with it. Think I'll put a drop of loctite on it.
