I am not sure where my friend got his sights but I see fiber optic sights for Rugers at Brownells.

I lust after the fixed sights on those! KGPF-331 is the model number for the stainless ones. http://www.wholesalehunter.com/product.asp?productid=81036 This place can backorder it, but i didn't see it in stock anywhere.

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=325677526 The price on that one is about the same as that website's.

Similar but higher list price & cool sights: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=325664086

You need to look into a SP101. The standard barrel for an SP101 is 2.25". Ruger does make an SP101 with a 3" barrel, if you can find one.

I don't know JD; that Talo edition with the matte finish & novak sight looks pretty sweet. I may have to start saving up for one of those beauts.

Wouldn't it be better to get a gp100 because its a six shooter. The sp101 holds only 5.

Shot my gp100 today. This was my best group of the day @20-25 yards on a 4" barrel

I like mine. I bought it about 15 years ago. It is the one I usually carry when I feel the need.
