I don't know what the Badger grips look like, but I've always liked the SP101 just like it is. They are sweet pieces. i'd get one, but I have a S&W Model 60 3" and an old nickel plated Rossi 3" that my dad gave me in the 70s and it shoots like a dream. The little Rossi actually got stolen once and the police called me about 6 months later and said they got my gun back. Whodathunkit.

I too would like the 327 version. I've got the GP100 & Blackhawk in 327 and really like them both. That is an accurate cartridge.

I don't know if you could bore it out enough to make it a 357.

In case somebody doesn't know, the 327 Federal magnum has been around for a couple of years, but hasn't taken off too much until Ruger started introducing more pistols in this caliber. As of right now, Ruger, S&W, Taurus and Charter arms all make revolvers for the 327 Fed mag...I think there are others, but I'm not sure.

I really like it...it is more pleasant to shoot than a 357, and it packs more wallop than a 38Spl. The nice thing about .327 chambered revolvers is that you have the choice of 4 rounds you can shoot in it: 32 S&W, 32 S&W Long, 32 H&R Mag, and 327 Federal Mag.

Thanks byrdguy. I figured you thought it was a typo.

The nice thing about the SP101 in .327 Fed is that it chambers 6 instead of the 5 that fit in the 357.

I agree...they really are nice little guns.

I wish S&W had some more offerings in the 327 caliber.

Excellent purchase, Goju! Small frame wheelguns with 3" barrels are just fantastic. Too bad that they are hard to come by (especially down here!). A SP101 with 3" barrel and bobbed hammer is my perfect carry gun.

Get one, it's well worth the price they go for. Can't say that about much anymore.
