well i just recently bought my dream revolver for hunting. it is a Smith and Wesson 460 xvr with a 8.75 inch barrel that is scopped (I will add pictures when i get home later). my question is what would be a good reliable holster for this monster for I found one but it felt cheap and flimsy plus it was 50 bucks. if im goin to be paying for one i would it to be heavy duty. so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know thanks.

edit: not 8.75 inch barrel but an 8.38 barrel.

wow that was quick. and that is rele expensive but that isnt really an issue. have u had any experiance with that brand (even tho it is s&w) or that holster directly and how well did it hold up to rugged terrain?

lol well that is a nice holster from what it looks like but was hopeing to see if anyone had experiance with it. dont wanna pay 200+ for a crappy holster

You might try a custom maker if the price doesn't put you off.

Mernickle makes a lot of cowboy leather, and their site says they make holsters for most double action and single action revolvers.

There's also Haugen, and there are more if you Google around.
