Uberti makes Colt SAA copies in 22LR/22 Mag in the $400 ballpark.

Never fired one either, but I hear good things. They look nice from what ive seen, as far as I know, they are the closest you can get to the real deal at that price.

The SSA will not stand up to thousands upon thousands of rounds of centerfire ammo without maintenance Even the $1200 Colts are this way, but the low pressure 22s should be ok. Anyway, the Rugers are built like tanks, both inside and out, plus they are made in america, this is why they are so popular/pricey. Uberti is Italian. I think that you will be happy with either choice.

I have a Ruger stainless Single Six that I bought used at a local
pawn shop for $250. I would look around for a used Single Six.

I have gad a couple uberti's in the past, mainly 357or 45 colt. They shoot well point of aim was good but needed a little adjustment. IMHO thet r worth the money. I'm actually thinking of getting one at a local shop thats in 44/40 ueds ther are asking 249.
