This is a summary of the history of Rohm Gesellschaft-

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R%C3%B6hm_Gesellschaft

The Valor is also known as the RG10.

Apologies in advance- to be honest, I have to say some rude things about them. I know of only 1 or 2 guns of lower quality. The frame is a poor zinc alloy. Value in good condition is about $30. They generally stop working fairly soon. They get out of timing, and are dangerous to fire IF they do fire.

On the plus side, they ARE heavy enough to make a good paperweight.

And I am remiss in my manners- that was your first post, and I failed to welcome you to the forum.

Do stop by the intro thread and say howdy, and DO stick around- good folks here, even if we do get a bit goofy sometimes.

Yeah like he said, hate to be the bearer of bad news, and we don't bash guns of certain brands/models/cartridges but have to make exception for RG guns. Best thing to do with it is wall hanger. Please don't take it personally as even if Jesus had a RG it would still be junk!

Don't have that model, but I do have a Rohm 57 in .357. First thing I did was remove the firing pin and turn it into a paperweight. One of the few things it's good for.

I only have it because it was a free gun. Got it with my Charter Arms AR-7 Explorer II pistol as a "Just take it." type deal.

A Rohm and an Ar-7 for free?

You were ripped off.

LOL. Not really, as I needed a paperweight, and if you know what causes the issues for the AR7 series of rifles and the pistol, you can make it work at 99.9999999% for close to free. As in Pennies. That and if you get it working right, an AR7 Explorer II pistol has a bit of a Cult following, and those who worship that model will pay top dollar for one in great condition, and more for one that actually works.

Smithing stones, pliers, and patience is all you need.

Wow. that's a tough decision there. Can I get it in the size my one buddy needs for his remaining foot? In that case, I may consider it.

have to make sure they have size 13 in RH first, then maybe. Otherwise, I'll keep my nice, cheap, blued paperweight. makes too good of a conversation starter, and the guy I got it from was a friend who made it clear that it should never be fired for safety reasons. that's why i removed the firing pin, and turned it into decor. that way, someone else gets to keep their fingers without destroying a piece of cra....... I mean firearms history.
