DefaultFront sight?

Anyone know where I can track a colored sight like the one pictured? Are they easy to install?

You can buy sight paint that's pretty decent. What kind of handgun do you want it for. Colored front sights are available for Ruger revolvers and are easy to change out. I'm not sure about other brands.

Easy? Dan Wesson- made to change in about 30 seconds! Other brands- depends on definition of easy. Translation- that would be NO.

Now, of you do not want to spend BIG $$$ on a set of tritium night sights- go visit your local craft store or hobby shop. Ask where the model airplane paint section is located. Find a FLAT enamel in a color you like (most of mine are orange) and get a pack of brushes. You now have enuff to do the front sights of 200 or more firearms. Paint AND the brushes will be less that $5. Don't like that color? Nail polish remover, and pick another color.

You can also get "gunsight paint".

I stole some of the GF's red nail polish and did a front sight a couple of years ago and it has actually held up good....there was a brush in the bottle too....haha.......ya'all can laugh at me now...

OC

PS.....that stuff smells good while you're doin it too....

After I got looking around, I thought perhaps that was a "paint job" too. I used some fluorescent jig paint and touched up my Taurus and it looks pretty good. We'll see how well it holds up!
