First pistol

I'm fairly new to shooting and am considering a Glock 19 Gen 4 as my first purchase. I rented one at a range lately and really liked the feel and at approx $600 it's about as high as I can afford to go. Any thoughts for a 'newbie'?

My first pistol was a Glock, if you like it go for it.

Shop around and make sure $600 is the best price available. I would have no problems with a Gen 3 if it saved me some coin.

Welcome to FTF. Stop by the intro. section sometime.

welcome to the forum and stop over in the introductions section and say hello.

the best advice for choosing a handgun is the one that feels good in your hand. before buying the Glock, try out many different brands and see what feels the best. the Glock is a proven design and if that's the one that is the best fit to you, then you might want to shop around, because they can probably be bought for much less. good luck.

Let's see. You liked the feel of it, and you can afford it. Heck, if you can hit with it, too, you may as well buy it.
