.357 magnum or 44 magnum in the S&W N-Frame.If I had to choose between the two cartridges, I would go for the .357 magnum for the Colt Python, The S&W Model 27, and the S&W L-Frame.

i am partial to the .357 magnum. my favorite revolver i own. my stepdad also passed down his old . 38 special police revolver, even after 20 years unused, still shoots like a dream.
