What is your favorite overall caliber for a revolver handgun?

Favorite Revolver Caliber? .44 mag!

If I ever buy another revolver for hunting it will be a .460 S&W. That is about the most practical choice today. You have full house .460's for big game, .454Casual for big/medium game and .45 colts for cheap fun. What more could you ask for?

I guess I'm old school again, as I still Like a simple 357 Magnum coupled with a 6" barrel and a good set of rubber grips! It shoots well, it hits well and Nope, not the most easy to carry, but will usually end a gunfight in short order! Plus, you can shoot less expensive 38 SPCL in it and do no harm!

The only one I have tried is .38. This is my fav for now.

The only one I need and use is 38Cal in my 38 Colt Cobra 2nd addition.

.45 Colt - Fun on the range...

.357 mag! Does what I need.

I'll be the oddball. .41 mag. Does what the .44 does with flatter trajectory and less (percieved) recoil. 170 JHC @1600 fps to 210 SWC GC at 900. The only problem is availability of components. I have been shooting the .41 for long enough that I have plenty of cases (1000) and I cast my own bullets. When I see jacketed bullets being closed out at reduced prices I buy all they have.

First post and near to my heart. .41 always.

.22LR...cheap to shoot, and very accurate. Now, I do own and love my .32s, 38s, .357s, .44s, and .45s, but the .22 is the best over-all...IMHO
