Most of my revolvers are Ruger, followed by S&W. I don't own any Colts yet.

I like Ruger because they are rugged, well made guns that are easily modified and inexpensive. S&W makes an better quality gun out of the box, though at a higher price. Always wanted a Colt. Waiting for the right opportunity to come along.

I have Smith's, Ruger's, and I can't agree with the Taurus bash. I picked up the new 627 Mag as a carry gun and find it a nice little shooter.

Smith & Wesson all the way. No other gun comes even close.

Rugers are nice, but not in the same class.

I've owned 1 Taurus revolver. I won't own another.

Colts cost too much for what they offer.

None of the others even warrant a mention.

Boy--hard to question Smith & Wesson, Colt or Ruger! For heavy load shooters, I.E. 44 Magnum, I like the Super Blackhawk. The recoil rolls up in the hand, VS straight back into the base of the hand.

The most beautiful, velvet smooth action, revolvers ever made in the 357/38 space is the Colt Python.

Personally I love every smith and Wesson I have ever shot. That being said. I completely understand why ruger guys love their rugers so much. They are rugged and pure function. If I knew I was going to put a serious beating on a gun and not worry about it, I would go with a ruger. I like the style and character of smiths.

(I still drool on vaqueros every time I am at the gun shop, but we are talking double action here)
