Yes I am trying to remove and disassemble the cylinder mechanism.
There is a screw inside the shaft that has come "unscrewed" and will not allow the shaft to compress and release the cylinder.
Removing the retaining screw and pulling out the innards (ala S&W) does not work. Rotating the shaft from the outside does not work (the screw is free turning and holds the return spring in the shaft and not held tight enough).
I though that a disassemble of the frame from grip area would help me get to the retained portion of the shaft (no, the grip part will not come off unless the cylinder is open)

Using this diagram (Thanks Belltactical) http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Products.aspx?catid=8741
screw (36) worked out and sits in shaft (37) and will not allow shaft (32) to retract enough to release cylinder.
(In this diagram it does not appear to screw (36) fits on end of shaft (32), but it does.)

Well success!!!
Got the dern thing apart. Had to put pins in, move things around as I disassembled.

Got it apart, found that the problem was old oil that dried up and was working as an "adhesive" in binding up the works.

Properly lubed, reassembled, and test fired. Cylinder swings out nice and easy.

Saved the family heirloom for a friend.
