Im trying to find the perfect revolver, right now my favorite is the s&w model 29 magna classic. But I don't really like the stainless steel. I want a darker finish like blue steel but i cant really find it so i was wondering if there are any other finishes i should look for

Checkthe s&w website and see what options there are for that model. If the dont have it in blue then look for a model that is similar but offered in blue. Thats where i would start.
