I'd go with the Mod-27. I've had mine for the last 36 years.

They sold the Vaquero and the Blackhawk they've got has some aluminum frame parts (a deal breaker in my book). So it's between the 27 and 10. I'm leaning towards the 27, I'm heading over there in a couple of minutes and I'll take whichever seduces me.

What parts are aluminum? That surprises me. That model 27 does look sweet.

Well, in that case, you now have an even tougher decision. Both of those are very desirable revolvers.

I ended up getting something completely different: a new Remington 870 Express Magnum. It comes with two barrells, a 28" one with a vented rib and interchangeable chokes, and a 20" one with rifle sights.

I've been meaning to buy a shotgun for ages, and this one seems like a very versatile choice.

AWESOME!! Great choice!!
I own two Rem 870's, can't go wrong with a shotgun.

Going to a gun fight? Take a shotgun.
If you can't take a shotgun, don't go.

That sounds great, but will you carry it in your waistband or on your hip?

I'm getting one of this uber-cool shotgun scabbards :

Seriously, though, I am getting a nice leather scabbard made to carry on my saddle.
