Yeah, been there, done that. One of the problems w getting older is when you realize it's not the platform's fault.
There is a gunsmith who can put white outline rear n your color of choice on front sight but it's not cheap. I don't carry my snubbie, it is loaded in a drawer so I decided not to invest.
I tend to shoot 158 gr or 110 gr. - good grip helps absorb recoil from heavier loads. Recoil in small revolvers or pistols is memorable. I have an older J frame and P+ is prohibited. (Yet, people still load & shoot P+)
