I have a DW revolver. I have never had any issues with the pistol but I don't shoot it a whole lot. Unless you have the full set of barrels a DW isn't worth a lot of money. I have seen DW pistols with a single barrel that looked like new go for $450 at auction. I have seen them go real cheap if the pistol had a lot of holster wear.

Im curious as to the various 357 loads different individuals refer to, using the right load can sure make a difference, my chosen bear load is Buffalo Bore 180 gr Lead Flat Nose Hard Cast Gas Checked, granted I only have the one handgun that I use for everything. 4" Ruger Police Service Six; oc, cc, hunting, hiking, snakes when traveling, hd, etc.

The Backpacker rounds were 200 grain, and hot loaded. They're meant to take down pretty much anything up here. That's why I'm not terribly concerned with using 357. I'm not using with the intention of hunting.

What velocity, barrel length, etc [manufacturer of load], I am always open to improving my odds of survival, [as rare as the occurrence may be].
