3rd generation Bought it new in '78 I didn't like the way the cylinder was getting scratched so at a gun show I got an extra cylinder, never used. Does the cylinders need to be timed with the individual gun? Can one gun be used with 2 Cylinders Like Josey Wales? That was his speed loading.

You should be fine to swap them out. Just run it through a function check and make sure nothing is obviously wrong. Checking with headspace gages wouldn't hurt.

Yeah, its not like each cly is hand fit to a particular frame-
