Default Colt fans...

I've been sniffin' around for a Diamondback in blue and have absolute sticker shock as the prices are ranging from 2K to 2500 and some even higher. Is this the true market?

I have a nickel Diamondback and am hoping to add a blue version but at that price.......

I own one of each, Diamondback and a Python in nickle. They are going for top dollar these days. M y diamondback has never been fired and is still in the box. I figure it'd bring 2500 easy, maybe more. I'd never part with either one of them though.

Not in my area. You can easily find a very nice used 4" Dback in blue for $1400-$1600 at any of the local gun shows. The same guys have them at every show because they never sell.

Nice! I picked up the diamondback at an auction in the 80's for $250 not knowing really what I had. Several years later I met an ex cop and he offered me $700 for it. I thought maybe he was rounding out a collection, which he was, but now I'm sure he knew something I didn't.

My Dad bought them both new several years ago and they still have the sales receipts in the boxes. Both were less than 300 bucks brand new. Here's another pic of the Diamondback without the plastic.
