Default chips on barrel

new Smith & Wesson revolver, after shooting about 100 rounds, i noticed small chips on the end of the barrell, never had a revolver before, is this normal, or should i call S&w?

Do you mean "chips" as in pieces of the finish flaking off? A picture might help some people.

Don't eat while shooting. If you get chips on your barrel they should come off with hoppes...

I have this issue a lot. Hoppes is the key to safe removal.
