I have 5 Charter Arms revolvers, of 1987 - 1993 vintage. I have had no trouble with any of them except one. It is a stainless Bulldog Pug .44 SPL. It had a problem where the cylinder was too close to the backstrap and the cartridge cases were dragging on the backstrap, making for an extremely hard trigger pull. I adjusted the screw in the backstrap so it would position the cylinder a little farther forward in the frame, and it has been fine ever since. My blue Bulldog Pug, 1987 vintage has saved my hide 3 times over the years, but I seldom carry it any more because I've reverted to .40 and .45 caliber semiauto's for my carry pieces. I have no quarrel with Charter Arms, though.

. I have an under the seat lock box. It's quite secure, and unless you were looking for it, you'd likely never find it. Also, the parking lot where I work has regular security patrols.

If no one steals the whole car, your probably GTG.
Cars are not secure storage devices. You can make a number of improvements, but the sad fact is, a tow truck renders them moot.

They have been getting the other Charter Arms models; but, not the 9mm Pitbull.
Likewise I did order a 9mm Charter Arms Pitbull and as of today I'm still waiting.

. You are correct . The truth is , there is no such thing as a completely secure option. If you want to bottom line this, two guys and an appliance dolly will remove my gun safe from my house. If someone wants something bad enough, they WILL get it.

I really like the idea of the 44 spl, so I'm leaning towards the Bulldog.

I have 44 special pug. I installed Pachmayr grips. I like it a lot. I also had a Security Six .357 with 4" barrel for at least 20 years. I bought it from Kmart in Calif. I sold it because I wasn't able to shoot 357 accurately.
