Default CCW S&W 642 - IWB or Pocket carry?

Hi I just bought my first revolver - a Smith Wesson 642 stainless. What's the best way of carrying it - IWB or pocket carry/

Can you recommend some decent holster for each? FYI, I'm using a Milt-Spark VM 2 to carry my HK P7PSP semiauto. Not sure if Milt offers decent IWB and Pocket holstesr for the SW642.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

I carried a Model 442 for awhile, using a Galco belt holster. This was a good holster, but I preferred something a little bigger in caliber than the 442.

I don't like either pocket carry or inside the waistband carry.

I went to a S&W Model 19 for awhile, but now carry a Ruger Blackhawk in .44 Special.

For me, it depends on the time of year. If it's long pants and jacket weather, I carry my Bodyguard .38spl in a DeSantis belt holster. Shorts & t-shirt, a Tuff Products pocket holster. I've got a Galco IWB, but don't wear it much. Not crazy about IWB.

Remora, hard to beat for comfort, versatility and cost!

You can carry your Smith both IWB and pocket with the Remora.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!
