Bought my wife this pistol:
Any thoughts? It was a great deal and it feels nice. Not too light(she doesn't like feather weight guns) and it's rated for +P. Is this a cool wife gun or what? I love it! She hasn't seen it yet. It's a surprise so don't tell her.

I've shot them and they can be a bit snappy as can any other light weight, short barrelled 38. If it's reliable for you I think she'll be happy. I got my wife a Ruger SP101 and she hardly let's me shoot it!!

Looks like it should do fine. I got the Mrs. an LCR and I also can not touch it(The Elsie Arrr) now.

She loves it and has already been grilling as to why I'm being so nice. In 7 years I haven't bought her a gun, why now?
She went to Charleston for an overnighter and had to take my .25.
Made me feel bad because as cool as it is I still wouldn't trust my life to it. It makes a good back up but as a primary it left me feeling she wasn't protected as she deserved to be. So I got her a firearm that has a good reputation and will in all likelihood give her 5 guaranteed shots if she needs them. It is obvious just from holding it and playing with it unloaded that it is better than the S&W J-frame I had when we met. She liked it but it was from the 60s and was pretty shot out. I couldn't hit a 2 liter bottle at 25 feet with it. This pistol is NIB and should be far more accurate hopefully to 15 yards.
