I will still have to wait while it's in CA Gun Jail for the next ten days. But the plan is to sell it so I can buy a Colt Commander to carry.

The fly in the ointment is that my wife's hearing aids now need to be replaced. I was planning on using the Diamondback proceeds as gun money. Now, I may have to just sell it and put the money towards hearing aids. Hopefully I can come up with the cash some other way. I think it's doable next month.
