DefaultBlackhawk vs Vaquero

Just wondering what some of your thoughts are. I was raised relying on Blackhawks (.45 & .357), but recently had the opportunity to purchase a .45 New Vaquero for a pretty decent price.

Opinions?

Aesthetically, I like the Vaquero a bit better. But the adjustable sights on the Blackhawk make it more versatile if you plan to use different loads or types of ammo in it.

I've had a few of each over the years. My favorites by far were the early model Vaquero's. Although my Blackhawk in .30 Carbine was a hoot to shoot.

The New Vaquero is a pretty good refinement of an Italian clone of the original Colt. Don't feed it hot-loaded ammo.

That was precisely my only beef with the Vaquero. I've used a myriad of different loads in my .357 Blackhawk, and the adjustable sights really do help.

Thanks for the replies. I do believe I'll pick it up. New in the box, the guy is offering it for $350. Not too damn shabby. Thanks for the ammo tips too
